The AMC CD8b was a "hot" item in the discussion at the MAD board in around 2002 so I bought one from Cambridge (for around $220 as I recall).
I liked it so a few months later got a 2nd one but changes in home listening rooms and habits later proved this 2nd CD player to be surplus -- so it went into storage. Over the last holidays I got it out, cranked it up slowly with the Variac, and put it into a music system. It played and sounded just the same as I remember .
So, I want to sell it. Although it has had very little use and in a non-smoking environment, it is still "previously owned." It won't be DOA but beyond that there is no guarantee.
It comes complete with remote control and will be in the original carton with manual, etc., etc. Its appearance is 10 of 10 and looks just like it came new out of the box. You can read more about it here:
