My mains, Vifa PL 18s with B+G neo 3pdr. External XOs from Dennis design. 1+3/4" shaped front baffles. Side panels pull against Tnuts in cabinets with a 1/2" fibrous felt pad between, panels of solid curly maple, one has flame inclusion. Sound is very nice, better in some ways than my Thiel2.2s.

You may want to put up some sort of guideline/template that we could all use so that we don't have tons of the same project or comments/questions on how to build since those really should be addressed in the main forum.
Just an idea,

Looks awesome. I really like the idea of building a frame then skinning it. It takes a lot of the "how do I get bracing in as I assemble the cabinet" out of the design. I may try building my next sub like that. Tho finding good true thin lumber is pretty tricky these days.

One small suggestion guys.
Let's put FINISHED projects in this part of the forum. Not," hey I just started this and crossover going to be that and here's how it's going".
Projects that are being worked on or talked about from the technical point of view belong in "tech talk" section IMO. ;)

Totally agree. Otherwise its not different than the main forum.
It would probably be a good idea to limit replies. Its a Gallery.

mostly complete. had to repaint the baffles. when i put the screws in for the grills to stick to, the paint broke away and revealed grey primer. i also ended up paint the tops black. no one will ever know that there were holes. shhhh.

YES, this is what I was talking about.;) Thanks! OK, so I am just noticing it. :p But I do understand that this thread is not actually for posting the projects.

My THX style center channel with two Morel MDT-44's and two Vifa 6.5" woofers. I experimented with the "speckled/ textured" type of spray paint on this one.
To address diffraction, I added some black felt into the countersunk areas surrounding the tweeters.
To ensure this D'Appolito configuration would never be rotated on it's side (destroying the dispersion), I created a diamond shape that almost forces you to keep it as a vertical array. 4th order L-R filters provide very nice polar response when coupled with this particular geometric configuration.

This is a great addition...just wish more people (especially newer members, I guess) would recognize the purpose of this section. Far too many threads are popping up that belong in TechTalk...and BTW, who is "grandpa" and what is he talking about regarding chatting with other players?!?!?!
