As i was driving yesterday, my subwoofer started cutting out, and not working. I looked at my fuse on my amplifier when I got home, and it was burnt out. So i replaced it with a new one, but my subwoofer still cuts out, and the light on my amplifier keeps gonig red. When i turn up the volume to a certain point, the subwoofer just stops.
Can anyone help me, and tell me what to do, or how to fix it.
Thank you,
Joe

How old is your sub? It sounds like either you're over driving it and causing the amp to clip. Or you've got a hole in your wire insulation somewhere that is brushing up against something and causing an intermittent short.
How long have you had the setup, when did the problem start. Has it gotten worse? etc?

As part of your troubleshooting, I am sure you had a close look at the wiring from the amp to the sub, even inside the box?

It sounds like (no pun intended!) it's an intermitant direct short on the output of the amp.Check the wire between the amp and the speaker to see if the insulation has rubbed through and is shorting to the body of the car somewhere. Also check to see if the voice coil on the sub is rubbing by pushing on the cone and listen for a rubbing sound.

You also could be driving the speaker out of the voice coil gap and causing your amp to see a short.
