What should I expect from a sub made with (Dayton SD315-88 12" Shielded DVC Subwoofer ,100w plate amp) to complement the trytrix ? it is for music, will be used as stand for the trytrix The box will be 14"h,12"w,24d.
cannot calculate box, I do not have a comp. with window I only use mint linux.

an 82 liter ported box would get you 30hz at f3
you could use a 4 inch by 9 inch port tube your box is about 80 percent that size or 65 liters.

When the 12"SD and SA70 amp went on sale in the last flyer, as an exercise I laid out a box on 2 "Handi-panels" (or handy-panels?) that Home Depot or Lowe's sells. These are 3/4" by 2 ft by 4 ft sheets.
A 24" x 20.5" x 14.375" box will be 3.18 cf. Each 2x4 panel will give you one of each of the 3 different box sides. You might have to reduce some of dimensions SLIGHTLY depending on how you join your box sides. I run a 3/8" rabbet, 3/8" deep on all edges.
The 12"SD sub is VERY efficient and will probably play louder than any other driver with the SA70, and that amp has just about enough oomph to bottom that driver out, but the SA100 will give you 1 or 2 dB more headroom.
I've actually got the parts (had for quite some time now) for 2 of these "subs" using the SA100 to go under some small sealed MtM (designed years ago) that use the -070 Silky and a pair of 295-300 5.25" Classic woofers.

I'm working on the Datum sub right now, using the 8" SDVC and 70 watt amp. It is an "ultra" budget sub, in fact I don't know if you can get any more budget and still be using all brand new parts :)
The 12" models nice in a big box, so your idea of bass bins for the Tritrix is a good one. Build em big, tune em low and impress your friends at what a few hundred bucks can do!

Yes you can (could). Two years ago I used that driver ($19) in 1.4 cf w/the SA25 amp ($32). Got both at sale prices for under $50.
15"h x 11"w x 20.375"d, 3"d x 16.5" vent, Fb and F3 of 28.
It's used with a pair of BR-1 clones in the basement and is quite satisfying.

I thought about going with the 25 watt amp for my build, maybe I should have. The 70 seems to be a tad "over kill" for the 8".
I agree, that is one step to take to make an even more budget sub.

The 10"SD wants a box the same size as the 12" (almost). If you want that big of a box, I'd use 2 12's in it. Then the problem is that the only way to wire them is for an 8 ohm load.
If you build an SD12/SA100 (or SA70) sub in a 3 cf box (or a little larger), I think you'll be happy.
