As in a cheaper (to my pocket) version of Geddes "Summa", or a "Boomer".

Picture's worth a thousand, right?

Drivers? Xover points? Horn info?

I'm curious - why not use one of the very shallow waveguides available?

JBL 2226h woofer, 2426h compression driver on an Oblate Spheroid waveguide. The waveguide is much better at constant directivity and low diffraction than would be one of the shallow PE guides. It's made of epoxy, resin/fiberglass, plaster casting cloth, styrofoam, plastic, and ply. A lot of work.

Crossover is impedance compensation (zoebel on woofer, notches on tweeter) with first order electrical components, effectively about 1600hz.

Can you make that picture a bit larger!

I think he means, Zoom out a little and dolly to one side or the other for a bit of a perspective view. Pic size of 600X600 is good.

I'll snap another pic or three in the near future. Hard to get one that doesn't show (much of) the mess in the room :)
