Hi! I was given with this cd player and was wondering if I should use the analog or digital output to connect to my H-K receiver.Reviews praise good
DAC in this unit.

There is nothing inherently wrong with using analog outputs. If you think the DAC in the player is going to be better than the one in the receiver, that is the way to go.

Knowing what I know about Rotel gear, it's probably a safe bet that the DAC inside the Rotel is better than the one in the Harman/Kardon receiver, so I'd recommend you use a set of analog RCA cables with decent RFI shielding to link the pair. Like these: http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-G-Snake-audio-cable-stereo/dp/B0006DPQ1O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277249551&sr=8-2 - even though they're Audioquest, they aren't ridiculously expensive.
