Just wondering if anyone has done anything with these yet.
Dayton RS75-4 3"
I have two, and though I have an idea of what I want to do with them, I was wondering if anyone else had something in mind for them.

i suppose you could use them for a low profile cc or a buget 3-way or even a single driver surround. what are you thinking?

When they were first announced, I read enough comments to stay away from them. They are more like a 2" driver, plus they lose additional SD to the phase plug. Perhaps for a Logitech-esque satellite they would be alright.

I had a thought of making a type of dual cube satelite setup just like the Bose cubes, but instead of the bottom cube having a driver in it, I would just couple the two cubes together, to allow for extra air volume for the upper cube.
Actually, since I don't have any of my woodworking tools or anything else available to me at the moment, I just got them to mess around with. But, like a dummy, I packed up my T-amp when we moved, and they're just sitting in a box for now until we find a new place to live. I was at least going to run them off the iPod and stick them in a cardboard box or something.
I'm sure I won't do the bose cube thing, but I think they would make nice main speakers for an under-the-counter type of all-in-one stereo system, possibly powered by a car radio. I've done these types of radios before and I really like them.
I have a pair of the RS-100's and I love them, they put out decent bass as well, which I'm sure these do not. At least I think... sigh.

Tom, that under cabinet thing is a heckuva an idea for those little twiddlers.
