I am building a three way. Peerless 850146 xover at 275Hz. Seas MCA 5" mid xover at 2.5KHz and a seas 27TDFC tweeter.

I would like to keep the tweeter/mid high up near ear level. But the woofer and mid separation. What would be an acceptable distance between the cone centers?

I also would like to keep the box on the small side. More narrow and tall than wide and deep. Some where around 36-40"Hx 11"D x 11"W. And a small mid intermal box.

divide your intended x-over point by the speen of sound. this is the MAXIMUM distance.

11500 / 275 = 41.8

42" would be too far, but 41 would be OK, but you're probably lookin' at more like 1.5 to 2 feet? No problem ;-)

I thought the 42 was a tad big IMHO, and it was in inches. Far too big a box for my room situation.

Thanks
