I don't like candles, but my wife does, and she has a bad habit of putting them on my speakers. So, I built a new pair of fronts with ceramic tile on top. They are 2.5 ways with Peerless 830656 mid-woofers, and a Dayton ND20FB-4 tweeter.
Matt, that's nice work! The tile looks like it was born there. How did you attach the tile to the box?

Thanks. I used Loctite Powergrab construction adhesive, mostly because it was the first thing I saw in a squeeze tube when I went to Home Depot. I borrowed a friend's wet saw to cut the ceramic tile.

Looking good.
Now you need a Sub like this to finish.

Looks like you changed the post name and not the thread name.
Nice job Matt. A friend had the same issue and used textured formica.

Just a Shiva, our collie sheds a LOT, so I needed to be able to move it to clean, hence casters.

I know this is an old thread but i'm working on a design using the peerless 830656 woofers and trying to pick out a tweeter that would mate nicely. The ND20 is definitely in my price range but I'm worried about the low power handling of only 15watts. how do your do for HT duty? where did you cross them over at?

Don't worry much about the 15w. They will handle plenty and with filtering and all will do just fine. I have crossed mine at 3k and 3.3k in 2 very different designs.
