I'm having problems opening up PDF files using windows 7. Also I guess they don't use the registry anymore because speaker workshop comes up with an error regarding the registry. I downloaded the latest adobe reader but that didn't help. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks,

Paul

There's a "zero day" vulnerability reported by Adobe yesterday on Acrobat. That may or may not be part of the issue.

Try Foxit free and not as bloated as Adobe

The registry is still there Paul.

Are you set up as administrator?

Weird, yeah try different pdf files and different pdf reader programs. My personal favorite free, lightweight reader is Sumatra PDF Reader. But thats just me.

As for the registry, yeah there is one, tho being a newer version some things are different. In things that don't like to run try going into their properties and checking compatibility options like "run as administrator" or "windows xp compatibility mode". Usually try one at a time till you find the one that works, I've rarely ever had to use a bunch of them at once.
