Here is a quick shot of my vented Tritrix project. Poplar baffles.

I can't believe I'm outside making sawdust while the NFL games are on....

Those will look great. I wish I could do a build without getting glue on everything.

Nice work! If you don't like the green tint of Poplar you can always bleach it or dye it lots of colors. I have done both.

You're building a speaker cabinet, not a piece of furniture. The more glue the better. MDF open grain sucks it up quite a bit too.

The inside of my cabinets have runs of excess glue, I don't bother to wipe it out anymore. Glue is good.

Yep, there are lots and lots of glue runs and drips on the insides of my cabs.. the outsides, I wiped up with a damp rag while the glue was wet. Just prior to snapping these photos, I had flush-trimmed the exterior seams, so the big dried glue globs were neatly trimmed.
