It has a small ding that is hard to capture in a photo in the middle of the cone.

I'm not the OP, but I know that MB Quart made one like that. Pioneer also made these "flat" subs as well, but I believe that they used a plastic frame.

Looks kinda like a 7-8" sub that punksweeper picked up at the Tent Sale last summer... It is a poly cone-cap over aluminum cone, IIRC, looking at it.

Unfortunately, I also have no clue as to what company manufactured it.

It's a 12" aluminum cone and dustcap subwoofer made by Unicorn.
