I'm asking $100/OBO for this amp. If you have an offer post it here or email me. I don't check PM's. If I'm asking too much, let me know :D Looks to me as if it is a real quality amp compared to others I've seen.
It's a class A/B amp I believe. Consumes 300 watts and puts out 150. Has bass boost at 35 Hz +- 8.5 dB.

Funny you mention that. I just posted this in another forum a few hours before you replied here:
"I would much rather have the amp above then this one: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-805&vReviewShow=1 that sells for $100."
In fact, I specifically didn't buy the SA-240B to buy this amp even though the SA-240B was cheaper.

That makes no sense, why would someone prefer this no name amp over a well established amp that is stronger, has a reputation and comes with warranty.
You asked if the price was too high and i gave my opinion.

No name is better than the name Dayton. It might put out more power, but it's a class D amp with components (and assembly) made by the lowest bidder. The reputation is worthless and so is the warranty. When I buy something I want it to work. I don't want to exchange it for something that's the same that might work. Thanks for asking for my opinion, that is why I asked for yours.

Hmmm...you openly ask for feedback regarding the price...you reject the feedback when it is given, and then you move on to disparage the Dayton name.
Best of luck selling your amp!

I don't reject it. He asked me for my feedback regarding his feedback.
My amp isn't a Dayton amp. The parts are more expensive and the build quality looks nicer :p
I do agree though my netiquette (and etiquette) have gone to sh!t lately :D

I don't need an amp. I would buy the sa240 if I did.
But 75 shipped is closer to the right price. Some advice wait until the dayton 240 ends its sale then try to sell it. the sa240 is 139 off sale.

FYI, I may be wrong on this, but I don't believe the SA240 is a class-D amp. It says it consumes 400 Watts, and puts out 240 W. That's only 60% efficient, so my guess would be that it's class AB.

I don't think any of the Dayton branded plate amps are Class D, and yes some of the Dayton plate amps indeed "have a reputation". So do I, though.

I'm not sure how the warranty is useless, as PE and Dayton have great customer support. I completely disagree with your statement.
That being said, what parts are this amp made of that make it so much better? Do you have documentation? And who made it?
You threw a lot of dirt at Dayton and their better prices on new gear, but provided little to no detail on your lower powered, used, and warranty-less amp. You were even wrong when you claimed that their amps were class D. Please provide some documentation on this amp, otherwise I'm not sure why anyone should believe your claims.

It's useless for me. As I want something that works when I buy it. Read the reviews about the Dayton SA-240 amp and other products.
That being said, what parts are this amp made of that make it so much better? Do you have documentation? And who made it?
What makes anything better than something else? Nothing! It's an opinion. My friend thinks his Civic is better than my BMW. Is it? Don't know. I don't think so. What do I think makes my BMW better? Everything. He can have all the warranties he wants. Even without the BMW logo you can tell it's made of more expensive parts. What does this mean? Maybe nothing to some, maybe others will assume something about the vehicle from this information. Maybe there wrong. Who knows?

My amp is not used. Where did you get that information? Can you provide some documentation? Apparently, I was wrong about the Dayton SA-240 being class D.
My opinion is this amp is better than a more expensive amp that Dayton sells, the SA-240. What do you want from me? You want me to repent? Maybe I should write that Dayton products, that are known to have consistency issues and high failure rates (up to 50% in some products) are better? Statistically I would say (for me anyway), yes, buying an amp from a stranger, is better than buying a Dayton amp, especially when you can get it cheaper and it cost more to make (I can provide higher resolution pictures upon request). I'll let you marinate on that one ;)

You did not specify that your amp was new or NIB, therefore it is assumed that it is used, especially since you are unable or unwilling to provide a name or information!
Why should kmibb be able to provide documentation for anything? He is not the one trying to sell an amp!

That may be your opinion, but it will not help you get your amp sold. It is a matter of fact, your argumentative and sarcastic attitude will cause any prospects to lose interest! Good luck with selling your amp!

I would assume something is new, if no one mentioned it was used, or I would ask. Why should I provide documentation to some one not even interested in buying the amp?!

I'm not being sarcastic. It's a common mistake people make when reading my comments or speaking with me in real life. I'd like to think we're having a debate and it will help me sell the amp. Only time will tell, I suppose.
I only mentioned the Dayton SA-240 because some one else either in this thread or at diyaudio.com mentioned my price was too high and that the Dayton SA-240 was only $99. Then I mentioned that I could have bought the Dayton SA-240 for nearly half of what I paid for my amp and I didn't because I thought the Dayton amp was made with cheaper parts and had poor reviews.
