Hi, folks, great forum you have here.

I'm not new to speaker building, but most of my builds have been existing designs.
This will be my first shot at a build from scratch.
So far i have built mains and a center, a 3.5 way w/ ob mids and ported woofers.
The drivers:
Mains....
Fountek neo3.5cd
Fountek fr88ex x2
Hi-vi d6.8 x2
Center...
SS d20/10
Fountek fr88ex x1
Hi-vi d6.8 x2
mains are tuned to 32hz.

These are drivers that i already had on hand and wanted to utilize rather than spending a ton of cash.
The mid on the center is a kinda tl, borrowed from the Statement center.

I have just got set up with some measuring equipment so this will be a learning experience for me.
Right now, i have the speakers running on a textbook 1st order crossover with 2nd order on the high pass. xover points are 5000,500,160 for the .5 with l pads on the mids and tweets.
I have to admit, they sound excellent, i was very surprised at how good with such a basic crossover.
Well thats where i'm at right now, now to learn how to measure and design.
Thanks guys, and hats off to all you genius's out there.
Justin.

Great job , it is obvious that you have skills when it comes to building cabinets! Tackling a three way isn't easy either!
Gotta love those RS subwoofers too!

Is that the port for the woofers in between the upper and lower baffles? That's genius!

Thank you for the compliments. Yes, thats the ports between the two pannels, I thought it looked interesting like that, perhaps not the best place to get the lowest extention but i like it:)

I don't think i will have time to work on them this week, with the kids off school and all that:(

I made the boxes to be recyclable, The baffles are removable and the ports are tuneable, i can remove the flairs inside the slot ports and change the widths to change the box tune.

(Well, I've made a post in three of four forums, so tonight's a productive night. )

Wow, those are some pretty smart-looking speakers. I sure wouldn't mind having a pair like that. Don't be afraid to ask for help when tackling the crossover for those beasts.

Are there matching grilles?

Also, if you're within driving distance of the Dayton DIY event at MWAF, bring 'em! I would live to see those at this year's event and get the chance to hear them.
