The speck sheet has the power rating @ 10watts rms\15 max, it seems very low, does anyone know if it's correct?

I would assume that's power handling without a xover present, or any padding applied.

Although I've not used the 9950, it has a reputation for being pretty robust. The "full range" power handling specification is a bit unusual but that seems to back up what Wolf is saying.

I've used the 9950 and hit it with everything from 20W to 250 watt. Always clean an unstrained.
