Ok i have psw505 that i bought to replace a Cerwin Vega 12D4 in a 2.8 ft. box tuned to 28hz. with a klh 200W plate amp because the surround started to seperate from the cone and i did not have time to mess with it.

The PSW505 is not cutting it for me so i need to repair my old box

So after running some subs through winisd i narrowed it down to these three
with a bash 300w

Epic 12

Titanic Mk III

LAB 12

with music being the emphasis but also for HT

Thanks :)

I'd recommend PE's Shiva knock-off, the DVC310-88 (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-185).

The Lab12 also seems like a good bargain, though I haven't actually used or heard one.

I'm personally not a fan on the 12" RS subs I've heard... but not even sure which models they were, so not very helpful.

You might also look at this. Models well in 2.8 ft3.

Someone here was just saying how the RSS315HF really likes a 2.7 cu ft vented box and how deep it digs in said box. If it is primarily for music then I would go with it or the Lab12. Although both really like the box tuned to 22hz to 25hz rather than 28hz.

IMO the reference and titanic are overkill for this amp/box combo....

Without the ability to model it(currently away from home) I would start here:

Maybe lower tuning to the 24hz range by changing port or enclosure volume. If you model it you can also seal up the port and model it sealed if it helps with excursion.
