I work with LAN cables and a recurring problem I have is the "finger" that holds the plug in the jack gets broken off. Somewhere I saw some plugs that were snagless; the "finger" end came back down on the plug. Has anyone else seen these or know where they can be purchased? The boots that cover the ends are fine, but don't always work in my application because many times I'm outside in the cold and the boots get too stiff when they get cold to push down the finger when disconnecting the plug.
Thanks,
Mike

It was a sad world when RJ-45 was standardized.

I know what you are talking about, but I just searched on NewEgg, Frys, Amazon, and Microcenter, and can't find any lan cables like that.

Just in case anyone else needs these plugs, I found them:
http://www.amazon.com/Panduit-RJ45-Snagless-Modular-Plug/dp/B002WT37UM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1318438560&sr=1-1

Thanks for checking Don.
