As in people of all colors and origins "celebrating" their Irish heritage on March 17th? I might have a Negro Modelo tonight since my family is from Texas, which is next to Mexico. That's an excuse, right?

2 near beers and BBQ in the middle of the desert is the best I could do, and pretty damn good considering the circumstances. It's almost seis de Mayo here though.

Being Mexican I do not understand why it is so big of a celebration outside of Mexico...
In here the big celebrations are:

September 16th (Starting the night of the 15th) - Independence day.
November 20th - Revolution day.

Alas, I'll get some tequila with my dad :)

Speaking for myself and most people I know, it's just a good reason to have a party. Nothing more, nothing less.

Having said that my wife and I are going to meet some friends for dinner and margaritas!

Well, as foolish of a holiday as it is, we have a blast.

Started out at our favorite restaurant Plaza Azteca at 11, had two jumbo margaritas and a shot of tequila and some Mexican food, then went back to my brother in laws where we played cornhole, ate more food, jello shots, tequila infused gummy worms, plenty more alcohol was shared, swimming pool, pinatas.....oh my lord it was an amazing wild time. Maybe I'll post a couple pics. :D
