Anyone want to test the KL-650-THX buyout (279-106)

This is the horn that Klipsch used w/ the previous 299-101 buyout woofers. For whatever reason PE hasn't listed them on the site but I called and ordered mine last night. I'm currently deployed OCONUS but I'd like to get some measurements on these so people can start simming them and hopefully give me some ideas on what to do with mine. I had them shipped to my house but I can have my wife send a pair out to someone willing to do the leg work. I'll cover the freight is anyone is willing. I won't be home until mid Aug so I'm in no hurry.

I don't know if I would be the guy to do this. But could you let us know where the horns are? Just city or state. It could be that someone is close and could save you the freight charge.

Sure thing... they will need to be sent form Wichita KS. I'm pretty sure I don't have anyone local with the resources though. I'm pretty much the only TT regular within a few hours drive as far a I know.

It's up to you, if you have a use for a couple than I would love to see what you can find out about them. I wasn't able to find a weight on these so I'm not sure what a round trip would cost me.

I haven't had anyone take me up on my offer but this thread has a lot of views so there seems to be some interest in it. I thought a test might be a PITA for some due to the atypical cutout required for a test baffle. I'd offer to help on that end but my situation doesn't allow it.

Anything happen with this? I'm curious to measure one, but not sure if I want to pay $45 (+shipping) to buy one - I did not see them on D.O.T.D. when they were only $19 or I definitely would have bought a couple then :)...
