DAYTON, OH (June 27, 2018) - Take control of any audio system with the new Dayton Audio
    DSP-408, a feature-rich 4 input/8 output digital signal processor!

Ease of use has always had its place in the consumer electronics industry. Dayton Audio has now brought to market a digital signal processor (DSP) that combines versatility, incredible sound quality, and ergonomic graphical user interfaces (GUI). The most alluring feature of the DSP-408 is the ability to be used in home, car, or pro audio applications right out of the box.

For many individuals, the pursuit of perfect sound quality is a never-ending quest. Dayton Audio recognizes this, which is why the DSP-408 features built-in EQ, crossovers, time alignment, and input/output mixing. When utilizing all of these features, the ability to manipulate and improve the sound quality of an audio system is simply astonishing.

    Windows-Based GUI
The DSP-408 is easily controlled via a Windows application developed by our engineers at Dayton Audio. This application features all the tools needed to make audio systems sound their very best, with an easy-to-use design which accommodates audiophiles of all levels.

Android App with Bluetooth Connectivity (Optional)
In the modern age of mobile devices, breaking out the bulky laptop to make modifications to a sound system can seem like a chore. That's why Dayton Audio provides the option of connecting the DSP via any Android mobile device using the DSP-BT4.0. This Bluetooth 4.0 dongle allows users to completely tune their DSP via the mobile DSP-408 app. In addition, the user can also use their mobile Bluetooth device as an audio source!

      Written by: Bennett Prescott

Every loudspeaker designer should be familiar with Thiele/Small parameters1, usually abbreviated T/S. Originally defined in the 1960s, they are a simple model of how transducers behave – mostly useful for designing ported cabinets like subwoofers. In 1971 they were brought to the attention of the US audio world by A. Neville Thiele, a native Australian, and Richard H. Small, a San Diego native who moved “down
under” to work with Thiele. This...
