DAYTON, OH (March 5, 2019) – Dayton Audio has updated the popular DTA-120 mini amplifier with the addition of Bluetooth audio but keeps the great sound and outstanding quality of the original DTA-120. The result is the Dayton Audio DTA-120BT2 Class D digital amplifier.

Dayton Audio's DTA-120BT2 provides a rich feature set including Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, RCA and 3.5 mm input, and headphone output. To further add to its appeal, the DTA-120BT2 produces 60 watts per channel which is more than enough for most speakers on the market.

With the DTA-120BT2 mini amplifier, you get the most power possible from the smallest footprint imaginable. At under 3-1/2" wide, 2" tall, and 7-1/2" deep, the DTA-120BT2 delivers more power per cubic inch than any other mini amplifier. All this is thanks to the revolutionary, cool-running Class D amplifier technology and the extruded aluminum heatsink case. The robust external switching power supply hides out of sight.

The DTA-120BT2 is the perfect complement to your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC, television, or any other audio source. It's everything you need in a mini amplifier, delivering the performance of large hi-fi gear paired with smart features; you'll wonder how you lived without it!

    • B&C Speakers... Large Signal Parameters
      by administrator
      Written by: Bennett Prescott

Every loudspeaker designer should be familiar with Thiele/Small parameters1, usually abbreviated T/S. Originally defined in the 1960s, they are a simple model of how transducers behave – mostly useful for designing ported cabinets like subwoofers. In 1971 they were brought to the attention of the US audio world by A. Neville Thiele, a native Australian, and Richard H. Small, a San Diego native who moved “down
under” to work with Thiele. This...

      By Cobi Stein

The first electronic loudspeaker designs were introduced in the 1920s, and while there have been many improvements in component materials over the decades, not much has changed in the basic functionality of a loudspeaker: a permanent magnet interacts with an electromagnet (voice coil) to move a cone back and forth, which produces sound waves. Founded in 1966, Eminence has been a leading
