  3. Custom Woofer development

    I'm working with a manufacturer to bring a 5.5" woofer like the Seas ER15, only with copper in the motor and pricing around $35-40. It will have a bamboo/paper blend cone, 6mm Xmax, cast frame, and TS parameters such that it can be used in a 7-10L box with exention down to 45hz or so/ported. The only problem is that the cost of bringing small quantities over to the US is prohibitive. I'm looking at buying a batch of 50 to start to offset some of the shipping charges.   4. Long term goals in Speaker Building

    I've gotten to the point where I think I've got a few speakers that really are very competitive with the commercial market. The advantage of the commercial market is their ability to really make nice cabinets. My woodworking is pretty good and improving all the time, but I just don't have the equipment some of these "pros" have so it makes it pretty difficult.
