  1. Related Sidetrack Project

OK, so my larger project is sounding good, I need to get measurements up, but, in-depth details and pictures will have to wait(as this is a planed commercial product) anyway After all the hard work of making the proto enclosure and making a mold of it, I found it is not square, looking at it you can't tell and it doesn't effect the sound, it good enough to design the crossovers and such but it won't do for "Real" product, so because of this and designs of the same process, will also need ...

    Section B

Using the “Canvas” project as my example in this case for a complex Series Xover
Emulation, this will probably change the way you look at crossovers in general as a whole.

Before reading this, I recommend you try and not think about Parallel Xovers and how they are modeled. Series Xovers represent a different form of thinking, and the design process is quite different.

  3. "Tips! Volume 3"...

Tips! Volume 3, By Ben “Wolf” Shaffer; 08/01/2010.

    Explanations:
The Actual Placement in reference to a xover schematic,
For: Parallel Networks (A) and Series Networks (B) as used in Jeff Bagby's PCD7.

If you follow Jeff’s tutorial for this part of the design, you probably already know how to do most of this. However, in the case that something is still not clicking for you, maybe this will help!?

Here I installed a couple drivers in my first test enclosure

    1st was the Aura NS3:

    NS3 No BSC
I've had the ns3 for a few years, first I had it running full-range and thought they sounded harsh on the top-end as you can see why. Even with bsc that peak still would have bothered me so...

Here's my first "real" trial of using a urethane resin for a small 3" full-range speaker, as you can see the result are pretty good, though it takes a lot of thought and preparation in the actual mold making step with careful planing unique and quickly repeatable shapes can be created.
This is (by accident) about 1/3 as tall as it was meant to be, the sidewalls are 1" thick.
