  • Creative Sound CSS SDX12 Subwoofer

I have a brand new, never opened CSS SDX12 subwoofer for sale. I purchased it in August of 2014 for a sub project that never happened.

I'm located in Columbus, Ohio and would prefer to sell this locally as the box weighs a ton (probably 40 lb). It's currently selling for $370 from PE. I'm asking $200 for it.

    SOLD!!!

To my knowledge, there never was an SDX15.

There was a SDX15, but it has been discontinued for a few years. There was talks about bringing it back to life, but still hasn't materialized.

The old SDX15 used the same motor as the current SDX10, which is a VERY low distortion motor, but we (CSS) wanted to use the massive SDX12 motor for the "new" SDX15. We had a prototype made, but the results weren't up to our standards, so we have tabled the SDX15 for now. In the meantime, the SDX12 Christian is selling is an absolute monster and $250 is a great price.

Last price drop. Then it gets used in the garage!

I own one. Sent it to Dan to do some testing/measuring. As he found out, the motor on it was NOT the same as the SDX10. It's a much larger motor structure, as well as having a woven Nomex/fiberglass cone.

Regardless, the CSS subs are performers, period. Mine IB in a Cavalier was UMIK verified flat to 17hz with SPL of around 120dB on 300 watts. That's not too shabby, me thinks
