  • WTB - Seas L18-H1224 and Seas 27TBFC/G

I just thought I would check to see if anyone has either of these drivers sitting around before I order some.

You just missed the guy selling TBFC as TDFC a few days ago. They're gone.

          Hey Wolf,
Gowa mentioned that some changes were made along the way, are those incorporated into your crossover? It's certainly easy enough to try both crossovers with the same build.

Apparently, Gowa (Leon) said I was not 'afraid of midrange' like the other version was. I don't know more than what I simmed for him, and that is what is seen above.
More than that, you'd have to ask Leon if he changed anything from what I posted.

He still posts over here at PETT and MAC-DIY, if you want a likely faster response. Or- I can ping him for you....

What are your impressions? I've heard the L18 a few times, and it never really tripped my trigger.

The goal of this project was to build a speaker to evaluate some higher powered single ended amps I've been working on. I was hoping to be able to throw 50W at 30Hz into these, but this speaker just won't support that.

These do image really, really well and the low frequency response is nicely defined. The tweeter honestly isn't my favorite. When I swap back to the speakers behind these with the Dayton planar ribbons, the tweeter performance difference becomes really obvious.

I'd still like to try your crossover, and I kept that in mind when I mounted Zaph's into the box, as I'd like to pop them out in a few months and try yours out.

I'm wondering if the Amiga would handle what I'm wanting to do.
