In your case you will insert this L-pad between the passive crossover and compression driver, so the driver connects to pins 1 and 2 and the crossover output to 1 and 3.

Hello all, new to the Forum. I am thankful for any help. I'm installing an L-pad in a 2-way floor wedge to help cut the highs down a bit. Is the simple schematic that I've attached gonna work? I'm a little unclear because it shows the L-pad across the speaker and I want the L-pad across the diaphragm.
