  • Final Design Team Project #3 - The Vegatrons

Welp, I spent over an hour here building a very detailed thread only to have several errors I spent another 1/2 hour trying to work around tell me I cannot post it.

Here is a link to it in the Design Gallery. There are pictures that got mixed in from another design, and it seems a few of mine are missing, but you all will get the jist.

It was a pleasure being part of the 2017 design team. PE gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and do what I love! The only regret I have is the wish the medium to share it all with you was more manageable!

Word tells me my wordiness was only 2,317, not 12,336...among other issues.

So long, and thanks for all the fish...

It's not at all clear what's going on with the horn diagrams. It looks like a conventional 3 way setup but there's a bunch of horn diagrams in your pics.

Yes. Not part of my design. Not sure what PE did...

The TL;DR on it would be:

10" 3-way with u-baffle mid retrofit into a pair of old Cerwin-Vega DX5's, inspired by circa 1985 Radio shack Optimus 45's with modern drivers.

Those are horn diagrams from John Hollander's Synergy horn project.
