Well, not a speaker but I'm pretty pleased with how this came out so thought I'd share.

Finish is a danish oil to bring out the colour. Let cure for a couple of weeks and then several coats of poly. Cured for another few weeks and then sanded from 400-3000. Rubbed out with automotive compound, polish and wax. Voila!

Fantastic looking, tell us about the hardware?
Also, how did you prepare the live edge for oiling/poly?

That is just horrible looking. You need to send that to me and I'll just trade you my amazing Wal-Mart special glass rack.

                    Seriously though...that thing looks amazing.

You know...there are wealthy folk who would pay about 3 or 4 grand for that if it was all pimped out in a high-end store.
(Something you may want to think about.)
                      VERY impressive BTW.
(I am hiding this post from my wife. She would demand I attempt to copy it.)

Hardware is just plain old 3/4 black pipe. The live edge was hit vigorously with a wire brush wheel. Any loose bits or gaps were crazy glued. To be honest,* the bark should probably be removed but my wife insisted it stay on. I love the look but just pray it stays put.
