  • Dragon Foals Completed

I just finished a pair of Wolf's Dragon Foals. They sound good with a lot of kick for a 3" driver.

Thanks for sharing your design, Wolf!

They look like they came out very nice using them for PC speakers?

Very NICE! I like the all-black and rounded look on them.

Glad you like them, Enjoy! :D

This was the only thread I could find on this build, so I'm going to bump it.
I've been bitten by the full range bug, and my wife's been on my case to put together a HT system, so I started looking at my options. At the same time, the nice people in the province next door have the M3N on sale at 63% off, so I ordered a bunch. I already have a set of cabinets almost exactly like the ones pictured above at 3.4L, so with a few days delivery, and a few tweaks, we should be listening to them this weekend.

I finished these a few weeks ago, and have been enjoying them ever since.
They're mostly for TV use, but I now put on the music channels every chance I get, and have been really impressed.
I had initially just installed the drivers in the cabinets to see how they sounded raw, and break them in, but once completed with the filters, were completely blown away with just how solid they sound for a single 3" driver.
My compliments on an excellent design!

So I have a neighbour/friend who wants to put together a small system for his den, and said that it's too bad that audio equipment isn't as good today as it was in his youth, the 70's and 80's. I told him that there's never been a better time to build an inexpensive, great sounding system. I know it's not what he's looking for, but I'm going to play the DF's for him today, powered by a Lepai amp, and I know he's going to be shocked at just how good it sounds for a $20 amp, and two $7 drivers!

Wait- where'd you get them for $7 each? I see them listed normally for about $12.

                        Enjoying them very much!

If you see my previous post, Solen haas them on for $7, and that's in Canadian dollars. Close to about $5US.

Maybe I should buy a bunch more
