I meant to ask you how you did the round-over/large chamfer for your rear mounted woofers? Maybe it's just the angle of the picture, but it doesn't look like is was all tool cut. If they were done mostly by hand, then that must have been a lot of work. Looks good!

it's a 1.25 or 1.5" roundover bit (have to double check).

it's a bit long of a process.. but here's how im mounting it to the rear, recessing all the hurricane bolts, then some Loctite, then bondo. those suckers shouldn't move.

I'll take some shots of the bondo then roundover today. I had to trim a couple of the hurricane bolts that overhung the edge.

6R is perfect for an 8 ohm woofer.

excellent, it fluctuates, but im guessing the caps are doing that. from 5.2-6.1 or so. seems to hover around 6.

what did you use for the finish? I love the look and would like to use the same product you used on my current project.

duratex, roll on--dries very fast, excellent product. you can get a large container of it shipped for around 50$. that beats bed liner at walmart and looks better.

The crazy part is how well it covers... i used very little on 3 speakers.

I've been tempted for some time to try building a set of econowaves. I can only hope that they end up looking half as good as these. Would you be willing to post some detailed box measurements, bill of materials and crossover diagram?

                              Inspiring work!

p.s.: I'm kind of fascinated by that side-mounted port...
