  • Holiday season thoughts

I've been busy as a two-peckered billy goat lately but things are starting to die down now so it's time to send a holiday greeting to the group of people who include a lot of folks I call friends.

Thank you all for being a source of knowledge, laughter and humility for this guy who has learned enough to be dangerous but still has so much more to learn. Without this forum I would probably be still floundering and eventually abandoning a hobby that has grown into so much more for me over the couple or so years I've been doing this with any degree of seriousness.

There's a lot of good in this world no matter how screwed it appears to be at times. Here in this forum I see it every day and I wouldn't have it any other way. No matter what criticism has been laid on this "club" I know that I have a place to go for some laughs and technical expertise and I pray it never changes. Thank you my friends and may we all have safe and happy holidays and thank you PE for giving us all a place to put our knowledge on display. Well, that and for putting up with our outbursts of off-topic nuttiness from time to time. Merry Christmas to all.

If you're on the left, Shawn's REALLY got to lay off that double thick eggnog and rum, and the pre-christmas dinners. he's starting to pack a little on in the upper mid section...

                    Nice tweeters Shawn.... ;)

Shawn, I couldn't have said it better! Even though I don't agree with some, I always learn something...that's why I'm here. Oh, and to exchange a little rat-ness with my pals! Xmas this year was a bit different as I lost my mom on Dec. 2, but didn't want to whine too much. If it wasn't for the tough decisions she had to make when I was young regarding my unusual affliction, I wouldn't be here today with all you good-lookings. She didn't know it at the time, but she made the right decision. I only found out in 1998 what I really have, and the recommended treatments the doctors wanted to do back then would have had me in a wheelchair by 20, and dead by 40. It's a very interesting story, maybe I'll regale you with the adventure sometime. Anyway, I really appreciate the frienships I've found here, and hope to contribute with some of my own "from scratch" designs in the future. Thanks to all!
