  • Now I'm sure of it...

Every few weeks the forum requires me to log in even though I've told it to remember me, and I now realize this happens apparently automatically at the beginning of each month. It's no big deal and takes about 5 seconds, but was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

Hadn't noticed it was happening at the beginning of every month but have experienced the log in issue. Frequency seems about the same, once a month.

It's happened to me twice in the last few weeks, the latest was today. It's not the result of being absent for a while, I swing by here at least twice a day.

Quite a few of my other online log-ins get dumb like that sometimes. Seems to be the way of the world - not super secure, as it always remembers my username and password so not sure what is being accomplished.

Modern web design is for sh!t, anyways. Does anyone believe usability has been enhanced at any point in the last five years?
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

Are you sure it's not your computer remembering your Username/PW? Most of them have the option.

FWIW, I'm not having the issue in terms of having to log in monthly. I reset my cookies/temp internet files/ PW/forms/etc often enough that I have to relog anyway.

I'm always logged out automatically, because I have my Browser set to flush the Cache and all my Passwords every time I shut it down. As a precautionary measure, regardless.

I regularly visit DIYaudio and Audio Circles and both of them have remembered me "forever", and it's only PETT that seems to forget me on a regular schedule.

Perhaps it has more to do with the load on the server. Logging people out that may not come back for awhile. Als, it's not smart enough to know your a regular (and even regulars come and go).

Well, I'm on PETT every day and more than once, so there's no reason for "it" to forget me. I still think there's something going on routinely and automatically independent of the forum member. Again, it's no big deal to log in and remind it once a month it's really me!

Why, yes I am but I wouldn't expect that to be an issue because none of the other audio/speaker forums I'm on regularly have any trouble remembering me.

On a DIY board? Really? Just needs a small upgrade. Is a BOM required?
