Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

I remember all of those. I used those mids as a kid as replacements in some of my pioneer coffins that I blew up You have two each of all of those ?

I still have two of those ribbon tweeters NIB somewhere. I believe they were made by JVC.

These particular ribbons are almost identical to a Pioneer unit - the so-called "Leaf Ribbon" tweeters from RS were the JVC sourced versions.

Another member sent me a series of pictures of the Pioneer ribbons he has, and I tried taking a series of pictures of the Realistic (with the red detail work on the lens) to show the similarities.

These however, are probably the JVC sourced model.

Yep--the ones with the transformer are "true ribbons", made by Pioneer. MCM used to sell them under the Pioneer name, along with some other ribbon-like tweeters from Pioneer. The 40-1375 is actually a planar driver, made by JVC.

I installed one of those 10's in my dad's pickup as a "subwoofer" back in the day, powered by some Tenma graphic EQ booster. Also installed an ultra cool Kraco dual shaft radio. 😀

EQ Boosters and the Kraco brand. Two things I haven't heard about in a long, long, long time. I remember most of those "boosters" were rated for 40-50 watts but you could barely turn them up before the distortion was horrid. Don't forget Craig products .

Love it! I still have my pair of those tweeters still waiting for a project. I measured that old electrolytic cap on them for fun and they were still in spec for capacitance, but had an esr of around 12 ohms, lol. The tweeter is originally sourced from pioneer. Looks like a really nice quality unit.

I bought a bunch of those at the MWAF swap meet last year, some were new, others had some use on them. Don't know what I'll do with them, but they were only a few dollars each. The vendor had quite a few left, I can probably dig up his name if anyone is interested. He advertised them in the Classifieds just prior to the swap meet.
