      Sorry for being ambiguous.

Possible gold vinyl decal. Iin my shop we do vinyl cutting. We would either make a decal or make template and spray down gold paint

Thank you both for your answers!

This particular Rolls is the "gold infused" model. With that in mind, and the fact that it's a $500K+ car, I'm going to assume it's gold leafing.

I think so . Followed by couple of clear-coats.
                Most likely polyester.

Not likely gold leafing. But they could have sprayed actual gold flake.

                    Why do you say that?

I know they used gold flake in the exterior paint job, so that is possible.

Gold flake is not the same as gold leaf. Both are gold but the process of attaching (application) of the material on the substraight is different. Gold leaf is an actual thin leaf of gold that has to be glued to the surface and polished to achieve the "gold" look. Other wise it's just a wrinkled foil. With the type of finish, Roys is using, this means introduction of adhesive that is not likely to be compatible with the finish and involving fairly specialized professionals. Using gold flake on the other hand will produce very similar results and you can mix it with the same finish as a base or clearcoat.

That makes sense. Thanks for the insight.
