Isaeagle (Chuck) has used them a number of times and was very pleased with their sound. There's some info in the RS28F Discontinued WTF thread.

Thank you Scott. Yes, I've used them and I like them, a lot! Really is a great tweeter. Very clean, well detailed and really easy to work with. My first project was the Misfits where I matched it with the Misco 6102-4 in a series cross at about 2.1k. Another project was my Victor design which crossed at about 3k to a Discovery midrange.

Been playing with these but haven't used them in a speaker yet. Non-linear distortion appears to be very low. THD at 1.5khz was about 0.2%, and about 0.5% at 1khz (105dB at 4"). The fs is a bit high (750hz) and impedance bump is fairly pronounced for a tweeter with magnetic fluid. Might need a shunt resistor or conjugate when crossing low.

I crossed at 2nd order electrical in a series filter at 2.1k. No conjugate or shunt needed.

Must be part of the series crossover "black magic!".

Not really. Series can be much harder on tweeters. In that particular design, both drivers have a very generous overlap making a simple 5-6 component series filter very easy and very pleasing to the ear.

I remember when people used to say 750Hz Fs is quite low, especially in a $25 tweeter. How times have changed...
Don't waste your money on a new set of speakers, you get more mileage from a cheap pair of sneakers. Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways it's still rock and roll to me!

How low would you think this could be crossed?

Ryan, Solen has these on sale right now, so worth a look.
