  • Heads Up

I note that the Axis drivers are on clearance at a competitors site. They are roughly 25% of msrp.

Dayton PA465 are on sale at PE for only $180!
Don't waste your money on a new set of speakers, you get more mileage from a cheap pair of sneakers. Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways it's still rock and roll to me!

Hmm, not quite sure about the reference, but I can't find it.
Could someone post a hint or PM me with more info?

I'm sorta new at this. What builds are the MCM used for? Do they have some sorta special properties?

I don't know of any published builds using these Axis drivers, but you'll find a really nice design using the audible physics drivers (also on clearance at MCM) on the techtalk speaker projects sub forum

Those Gradient kevlar drivers looked very nice - pretty smooth and very low diistortion.
Picked up a quad of the 4 inchers.

Really tempted to ditch this latest OS build and try some of the Axis kevlar/paper woofers. It looks like the 4" 55-5585 could work with PE's on sale nd20fa.

What are the rules here for posting mixed breed builds?

Post away, just not supposed to link to the competitor sites, that's usually the deal breaker.

Yeah, that's what I"m looking at - a 4" desktop to replace some Quarks.
Don't think I'm going to find a better tweeter for $10 than the ND20fa, but I"m open to suggestions.

Thank you for the compliment. The Axis drivers are more readily used overseas, but they have been used. The Audible Physics drivers are some of the best I've used, regardless of the price. Yes, I am a fan lol

Wasn't <don't know if I can mention the name of competitor> going out of business?

Does this mean the Audible Acoustics and Gradient Acoustics will become nla?

Some of the MCM drivers are flat out awesome performers at unbelievably low cost. Unfortunately we don't know their future... but no one ever expected the holy grail RS28 to go away either... just sayin.

Yes, most of the drivers are going to be NLA, some will be available via the parent company, hence the amazing prices, get em while you can.
