3D Printed driver plate

So my original intention was to print an entire speaker box. That is still in the works. I did want to see if I could print a new faceplate for my Dayton pc83-4 driver. Here is my first attempt. It's flat on the front and has a slight recess in the back so the driver fits in flush. It is all still a work in progress.

Looks great. I hate those plates that are not circular, so this looks like a good way of covering them up. How thick is it?

So this one is 3/16", but I'm printing a new cover that is 1/8 with a slightly different design. 3/16" held up pretty good. Not sure how the 1/8" will. It will be printed in about 20 more minutes. I will take a few pics.

I have 2 printers, Wwanhao i3. Good printer, and a cr10 for the big stuff. Both print really well.

Made this also, but forgot to post it. I have PLA so that is what I'm using.

Currently printing a box right now. I was unsure if the wall would be sturdy? But am using a grid pattern brace and so far I think it will do well. I knocked on the side and got a nice thud. I will post updates.

If the cells are hollow top to bottom of the box, you might spay foam(Great Stuff?) in them to stiffen the walls.

Great idea. I've been toying around with the idea of getting a 3D printer to play with. Just for my curiosity, if you're making an adapter plate, why not make it a round plate? It seems like like the adapter plates shown is replacing an awkward shaped speaker frame with another awkward mounting plate.

Just trying different shapes I also have done a circle one as well I also have a little a little CNC so if I want to recess the plate I can match that also into the wood or MDF.

Also comes in handy. I did not have the right port tube size so I designed and printed a pair to my own specs.
