    Buy nice, shiny, purty drivers. Make sure they look purty. If no, shelve them and buy more that look purty. Wash, rinse, repeat. (somewhere in between:*Break-in.* Measure (T/S) .Test (for FR) in test boxes)

          I also use design simulation software to help me pick a driver, or a combination of drivers. If it crosses over nicely, that is a huge plus for me. Box size is important for woofers, their enclosure requirements vary a lot.

            The first honest reply on this thread. The guy might as well asked Hugh Hefner about a long term commitment to one wife. Buy them all and sort them out later. I resisted buying ribbon tweeters on sale and got outbid for planar midrange drivers on eBay this week so can sleep without too much guilt tonight. Some guy in Australia tells me the one driver I bought and really like is no good because it distorts at 100dB.
