    The usual rule of thumb is to cross over no higher than where the 30 degree off-axis is down 6dB from on-axis. It's easy to see that with an axial//30/45 degree response chart, a bit more of a chore with polars. It appears that 3kHz is about as high as you'd want to take that driver. 4kHz is pushing it.
