  • RS180p-4 crossover question? Tweeter recommendations?

I'm planning to use the RS180p-4 as a midbass/midrange in the doors of my 2012 Cadillac CTS. What is an ideal low pass crossover point for this driver? 2500hz? The answer to this will in turn aid in finding a suitable tweeter. Any tweeter recommendations are also welcome. Thanks

A driver that size is usually crossed 2000hz or lower. Are you looking for a small faceplate tweeter or is a larger (4" or so) one ok?

I figured 2500hz might be a little high. Since I didn't think I was going to receive a response here, I went ahead and ordered a pair of tb- 25-2176s tweeters hoping they will suit my needs. They should fit well and allow for a low crossover of 2k.

Have you gotten the 25-2176S in and installed? I was thinking of putting these in my car and wanted to know how they sounded.

I haven't had time yet to change out my wide bands for these tb's yet. Will let you know when I get it done.

I'll be ordering 4 shortly and using them with the ND28s that I currently have on hand. 2.5kHz is probably what I'll be aiming for, but it really depends on what the raw in-car response looks like.
