    Guess xmax's age.

My guess: 15. His grammar is passable. His trolling is good.

TB really has to do something about their packaging.
The PE Epique is how it should be packaged.
These arrived in one piece, however I have got
    about 10 broken W6-1721...

God that grille is tacky looking. Looks like a hell of a driver. Look forward to seeing some measurements.

It's going into a .5cuft vented box tuned between 40-50hz.

New TB W6 Coax is looking pretty good so far...
Some kinda weird 3rd order stuff, the usual coax upper wrinkles,
but not nearly as bad as some. 2K LR4 seems no problemo
(I'm using active LR4 for this sweep). Click image for larger version Name:	TBC.png Views:	1 Size:	211.5 KB ID:	1399656

I'm starting to really like these, the shallow cone and surround profile
seems to work, off axis sounds a lot like on axis. The tweeter sounds
a little too tweeter like still, but hopefully that can be fixed in the passive
XO. IM and/or doppler distortion test coming soon.

How many Basil's were required before the grill came off?

They're definitely unusual looking drivers. Might make good center channels.

Tweeter response is smooth from the standard of the usual raggedy Coax graphs we're all accustomed to.

Lol the removable grille is a game changer. That thing looked like an incense holder at a taiwanese buddhist gift shop.

Removing it does draw attention to the 20 screw holes, good heavens.
(Wood screws in MDF have a withdrawal holding force of about 600-800 pounds each)

It looks way better without the grill. Is the tweeter concave? It looks that way in the photo above.

Have you played any actual music through it yet?

The tweeter looks like the w2-2243s.

Funny you mention that. I did not even notice all those screws until that photo of the naked tweeter!

It looks like there are 6 screw heads, and 6 little nubs that appear to be dummies.
