The sound is impressive too, even squished through YT and everything else.

(been wanting to play with this concept anyway)
      Guess xmax's age.

My guess: 15. His grammar is passable. His trolling is good.

I want to know how to get one of those "drill presses". I have a couple of the big heavy kind, but that's a neat piece that would fit in my work van.

about time i posted this on this forum a while ago as i love the method, but didnt have the router bit with the bearing on the top. So......i glued together a quick template and used this 1/2" sized bit i had which was 2" long and used a plunge router with some 30mm ply on top. Bit dicey at times as you are flying blind only using the feel of the wood underneath, but was fun. Was thinking of giving it another go but more his method with template on top, just need a nice piece of wood and a new router bit.

I would love to see somebody tackle this style of speaker design.

edit: if you use google translate there is a step by step blog on it....but.....still not template :(

Sometimes people just do things because they can. Just like adding a powered sub, or better yet, just buying already-made speakers to begin with. It's a hobby that we all justify in different ways.
