  • Dinner for Audiophiles

If I was tasked to invite an example of an Audiophile to dinner, I'd invite this guy.

Tape reel. Nautilus formed enclosures made of sand. Bamboo fiber paper cone drivers. *Chef's Kiss*

    The subwoofer is special, too.

"Mimicking deep-sea bioluminescent creatures, each bass port also contains an LED light source."

Would he notice the music while meditating? 🤔

Man does not live by measurements alone, a little music helps.

With him, audiophilia is a symptom, not a diagnosis.

Yeah? I'd like to know how you mimic deep-sea bioluminescent creatures at home.

Those speakers are far too small to be taken seriously.

Premium Cables: "The conductor is made from very fine, oxygen-free, pure copper strands giving the cable outstanding flexibility properties."

Anaerobic music is the best music. I noticed the Ramones were starting to sound a little oxidated so I replaced the cables and they sounded so much better.

I prefer green heavily oxidized corroded copper wire recovered from old farm houses. I find it to be more broken in than any other wire I've tried. You have to have a good amp for it though.

Dunno. Size isn't everything. My 15s put out bass, it's true, but their deep-sea bioluminescence is definitely lacking. Maybe some nice LEDs around the cones would help.

Time for research in underwater speakers?

That must be where the real money is in speakers. These might be kind of cute and fun if they weren't priced over$2,000.

Um - maybe it's just me. The subwoofer on the web site looks like it has assumed the correct position to receive a proctology exam. Especially the second photo.

After paying >$2k for those, that may capture the feeling rather accurately.
