    Ben

I have a system of a 50" ribbon dipolar (if that's the right description) XO'd to a sealed sub at 150. It is bi-amped, so doesn't fit in the competition, but if you'd want it as a demo, I might be able to get it ready to go by then. I want to redo the baffle the ribbon is on (really a planar dynamicBG50"), and rebuild the boxes for the woofers, that would all depend on weather because the shop isn't heated. Would you be interested in having that there, or should I not bother for the meet?

Bring them if you can. I would really like to hear these.

Thanks Craig. Chances are you could hear them even if I don't take them to the meet. I'm in Lima and you're in Columbus I believe, so should be doable at some point. It's been more than 10 years since I have played these, I'll have to make sure everything still works. They have been in storage.

No, Chris- VERY different. I've seen the speakers Steve is speaking of.

That is a lot of words that I don't understand.
To make things simple for me, is an open-back midrange with some sort of tunnel, like the Anthologies or Statements, acceptable for the contest?

I'm working on an open baffle mid woofer with a front facing tweeter. Still lots to be done. Looking forward to April...

I probably would have answered that differently. They are similar in the size of the ribbon, woofers are in a separate cabinet on mine. Biamped with an active crossover at 150 Hz.

A4eaudio--I didn't understand that either. Sometimes Wolf gets so wordy the meaning is obscured.

That weekend works perfectly for me. I'll start looking for cheap flights from Florida now!
