  • OT: Sonic Perfection!

Not only have I discovered the perfect device to add to my audio chain in my quest to achieve Sonic Perfection, I have also found the perfect tool for installing it:

    Read the reviews.

      Wow, that knife is really..something..

When I wired my listening area in the finished basement I did two dedicated 20A circuits and hospital grade receptacles, which were a tenth of the cost of one of those and ensures a solid connection. Anything beyond that seems a bit excessive to me.

        Don't forget this:

        And this:

So now you are up to about $260, plus the cost of the special wire needed. Then you must replace the circuit breaker in your house (both the branch one and the main one) with breakers that have cryogenic treatment and 24 k gold plating. Then you just have all the junctions, breakers, and fuses your regional power company has ....

That unit is only for connoisseurs. Mere mortals like we have here probably can't even hear the night and day difference it makes.

Pshhh....I just bought a complete gold-plated power grid. Cost: 167.2 billion dollars.

I can still hear something "grainy" in my system though. I need to figure that out.

I went for the $1.89 outlet over the 49 cent one at Menards. How can you make a decent outlet for 49 cents?

I thought the veils have been lifted.... Then I realised woah - there were still veils to be lifted on those veils!

They don't. An electrician friend told me he has replaced dozens of those PoS that have either just stopped working or in a couple cases started on fire.

Hey you can wire your gold outlet with cryo treated Romeo fed by an audiophile breaker while you’re emptying your wallet!

The pity is, I'm sure someone is buying it.

Even with the dedicated gold power plant and fancy cables and receptacles you still have evil EM interference. Fear not, these guys have you covered. No idea what it costs, didn't have to the patience to read through all the babble trying to set the hook, but I'm sure it's a shocker.

It's a black hole for EMI! I never did find the price. Probably if you have to ask...

And don't forget you'll need covers for those audiophile receptacles.
