  • Recommendations for garage speakers

I have some plywood boxes, about 10L gross with an 8" wide x 12" tall baffle. My brother is looking for a set of garage speakers to go with a 10" sealed sub. I am looking for a super simple design that can pair with the sub, preferably suitable for a dirty/dusty environment. I was thinking the GW S525 woofer (290-302) into a sealed box with a <$10 tweeter, are there any designs out there along those lines? I have some 0.50 and 1.00mH coils and a handful of caps and resistors floating about as well.

I'd look for a woofer that's got more than 2mm Xmax, and a "Q"ts value lower than 0.70 (0.84 would be about right for a car door install).

Cabrini would be perfect but my existing boxes are a little small (baffle is just 8x12). I'll keep digging along those lines though, I think I can fit the 6.5" woofer in my box.
