If you attended Jeff's symposium in 2014 (I think I have the year right), he was there. He also attended CKY-DIY once in 2011 when he lived closer to his mother in Kentucky for a few years. He had moved back to Texas not too long afterwards. He was always an enthusiastic member here, and he will be missed. May his family be comforted in this time of sorrow.

His main contact with me was a design I did years ago for him called the Hardanger Gems. Numerous statements of positive outcome were gushed about them, but the details are mostly lost to me now. I believe it had a Seas W18 as the midbass, but I don't recall the tweeter. He also built Jeff's Continuums, and several others' designs. He liked checking in with me periodically just to see how I was doing.

    RIP, Ren!

I figured there were several that had met him at the 2 events we both attended, and I know he was an active member on here asking questions about things.

All you have to do is look up what threads he started, as there were quite a few.

He will be missed by many,

this is some really sad news ,he will definitely be missed . he was a real nice gentleman . i remember when he first came on the scene ,he jumped in with both feet ,asked a lot of good/important questions , and was a fast learner . he had offered for free a pair of Curt's Stentorians , i was lucky in that he chose me to give them to ,my wife and i met him at his home and quickly realized what he meant by having too many speakers ,if there is such a thing . i think he had built every two way i had ever read about and was using his new saw to build a sub box for his truck.
my condolences go out to his family .
        donc

Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.
