  • Has any built/listened to Paul Carmody's "Tarkus"?

While prowling the web, following suggestions and hints given here, I came across the "Tarkus" and it looks very interesting but I would like to know what a builder thinks about it.

He uses drivers from PE (tweeter is back-ordered) so getting them is not a problem.

How would it work with a LAB12 in a sub-woofer box?

I've heard them, and they do quite well. I doubt you'd NEED a LAB12 to complement them, but if you got them already- sure!

They are fantastic speakers and at the time my only point of reference were some Overnight Sensations. Tarkus had a better midrange and treble, and obviously gobs of bass and low bass. Plus, they were a super fun build.
