  • Port vs passive radiator

Hi everyone, I have built a Voxel sub (kind off) and now I wanna built something portable with the same driver. I want to use a passive radiator because the port is to long. If I give it a lot of power it will exceed xmax at 50 hz ( with port), but thanks to the port tuning I will have extension to 30 hz.

Now the question, if you tune the box with passive radiators do you have the same dip around tuning frequency.

Yes - if you can hit the same tuning.
"Valley" in driver response and excursion and impedance.
Peak in port output (or PR output and excursion).

That LOOKS like an excursion plot - even though it says "phase"?

Thanks Chris, my bad edited wrong. Phase is the next one. Has to be excursion
