Browsing through Amazon I found this high-end table radio by Como...
It seems like a pretty cool little radio. Has bluetooth, wireless streaming, a CD player which I love, and knobs, which I also love. The interface panel is nice enough and the grills over each speaker give it a modern feel.
It's kind of pricey though at $699 to $750 depending!
Just for fun, compare it to my Bantam Table Radio, which doesn't have wireless streaming with Spotify, Pandora, etc, and no CD player....
Consider how cool it would be to have a super-nice faceplate unit of a compact size that would do some or most of what that Como unit can do for us DIY'ers to play with.
I wouldn't even mind loosing the CD player if need be, but I do see super-cheap slot-loading CD drives for $20 retail that might be able to be modded at a pre-manufacturing level for a higher-end 'B' option of this proposed faceplate.
It has a lot more features than my BTR, but I bet it doesn't sound any better.
Just some more rambling and dreaming...
